The Willow Foundation
The Willow Foundation is a national registered charity that funds and organises special days for seriously ill young adults aged 16-40. It was founded ten years ago by former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna who died of cancer in the prime of her life, aged 31. Most recently Linda appeared on and won Channel 4's Come Dine With Me and donated her prize money to The Willow Foundation.
'Linda has been our dear friend for many years. When we founded the Willow Foundation, a charity that provides special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds, we asked her and her husband Sam Kane to be a patron. Typically she instantly agreed and since then has supported the charity in countless ways. She has baked cakes, posed, run, jumped, thrown, created dinner parties, appeared, networked and generally done anything she could possibly do to raise money and awareness. As a result many Willow Foundation beneficiaries have been able to experience a special day of their choosing with friends and family, at a time when their quality of life is seriously depleted. We are so grateful to have such a loyal supporter and love her dearly for her constant enthusiasm.'- Bob and Megs Wilson
